MACHINE HEAD Guitarist To Jam With SOIL At DIMEBAG Benefit Concert

MACHINE HEAD guitarist Phil Demmel will join SOIL onstage at tomorrow's benefit show in memory of slain DAMAGEPLAN/PANTERA guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott. Demmel will reportedly appear during the band's rendition of their signature song "Halo". Also scheduled to perform at the February 23 show at Chicago's Aragon Ballroom are DISTURBED, DROWNING POOL and ANTHRAX.

The benefit concert will help cover bereavement costs for the family of DAMAGEPLAN security guard Jeffrey "Mayhem" Thompson, who was also killed, and medical expenses for DAMAGEPLAN crew members John "Kat" Brooks and Chris Paluska, who were injured during the Dec. 8, 2004 shooting spree.
